Fuel was a technology and innovation conference launched in 2017 by Medialaan, the Belgian media and telecommunications group, an event conceived as a structured response to the pace of change reshaping the media industry, designed to give marketers, managers, and innovators direct encounter with emerging technology rather than mediated analysis of it. The studio was engaged to develop an event identity for the conference's inaugural edition, commissioned by Today. The brief called for a visual language capable of containing the breadth of the conference's subject matter, spanning augmented reality, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the future of media distribution, while projecting the authority and energy appropriate to a brand organizing its audience's relationship with the immediate future.
The identity served as the visual architecture through which Medialaan positioned itself as the convener of the most consequential conversations in Belgian business, and through which Fuel staked its claim as the country's definitive forum for technological transformation.
